About the Opportunity
CSI Mining Services are seeking experienced Electrician to join our Power Generation team for current and future opportunities.
This role is a full time position and can allow you to grow your skill set with on-site training and the opportunity to develop your career on the tools and as a leader. This role will be a 8/6, day shift only roster, FIFO out of Perth, as an Electrician for the CSI Electrical Services team in the Onslow Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain diesel generators
- Maintain infrastructure in relation to haulage activities (Power Supplies, UPS, Distribution boards).
- Maintain RCMS Skid Solar distribution (Solar Panels, Battery banks, Charging controllers, DC Distribution).
- Undertake routine inspections and maintenance on the diesel generators, ancillary equipment, Communication towers and Solar Distribution.
- Monitor power generation systems, Solar Skids and Communication towers via software-based systems, ensuring that the site is operating as required, including identifying any short- or long-term plant reliability issues, or improvement opportunities that may be present
- Undertake typical housekeeping duties
- Maintain stock inventory
- Support other MRL employees and/or contractors conducting works on power generation equipment, ensuring MRL HSE policies and procedures are being adhered to
- Participate in On Call activities when rostered on site, ensuring prompt response is given to any issue that may arise after hours
What is required:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to work autonomously in remote location areas
- Extensive experience and sound knowledge of power systems and control circuitry
- Previous experience in running and maintaining Diesel Generators
- Knowledge and experience using COMAP Synchronising controllers and systems
- A high standard of fault finding and trouble-shooting ability
- Australian recognised Electrical trade qualification
- Previous experience with a CMMS such as Pronto (desirable)
- Current Electrical License
- Current Australian Driver's License
- Construction Induction Card
- First Aid, CPR & LVR
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- Ability to meet pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening requirements.
