Job Description
Job Summary:
The Sr. Functional Consultant is responsible for leading business analysis, solution design, requirements management, and functional delivery activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform projects.
The role acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, developers, architects, and testing teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable and effective solutions. The Functional Lead drives workshops, manages solution scope, supports project governance, and provides leadership throughout the project lifecycle from discovery through go-live and hypercare.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management

Lead business discovery, requirements gathering, and fit-gap workshops.

Facilitate stakeholder workshops and process design sessions.
-
Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.

Define and document business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
-
Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions.
Solution Design
-
Lead functional solution design for Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform implementations.
-
Recommend standard product capabilities before considering customizations.
-
Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process maps, and solution specifications.
-
Collaborate with technical architects and development teams to ensure solution feasibility and scalability.
-
Review and approve functional designs before development.
Stakeholder Management
-
Act as the primary functional point of contact for customers and business stakeholders.
-
Facilitate solution walkthroughs, design reviews, and requirement validation sessions.
-
Present recommendations, risks, assumptions, and impacts to project leadership and client stakeholders.

Manage stakeholder expectations and support decision-making throughout delivery.
Agile Project Delivery
-
Support backlog management, sprint planning, story refinement, and prioritisation activities.
-
Work closely with Project Managers and Scrum teams to ensure successful sprint execution.
-
Monitor functional deliverables, dependencies, and risks.

Participate in project governance and steering committee discussions as required.
Testing & Quality Assurance
-
Define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
-
Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Review test cases and validate business outcomes.
-
Support defect triage and resolution activities.
-
Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed business requirements and quality standards.
Deployment & Hypercare
-
Support solution deployment, go-live planning, and business readiness activities.
-
Coordinate end-user training and knowledge transfer.
-
Provide functional leadership during hypercare and post-go-live support.
-
Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 8 years of experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics CRM/365 CE solutions.
-
Minimum 3 full lifecycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE implementations in a Functional Lead or Lead Consultant capacity.

Proven experience leading business workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
-
Strong experience preparing Functional Design Documents, User Stories, Process Maps, and Solution Specifications.

Experience managing requirements across complex enterprise projects.
-
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
-
Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Wealth Management, or other regulated industries.

Experience working with enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
-
Understanding of customer onboarding, case management, complaints management, customer servicing, sales, and regulatory processes.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform certifications.

Experience working in APAC customer environments.
