Continued growth and ongoing digital transformation have created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Technology team, based in North Sydney.
Role Overview
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in partnering with the business to clarify, improve and update business processes impacted by technology change as part of Thinktank’s digital transformation journey.
Reporting to our BA Lead, you will work closely with multiple stakeholder groups to elicit requirements, navigate competing priorities, define end-to-end business processes and translate business needs into clear system requirements. You will also support quality assurance analysis to ensure technology solutions meet business requirements and are ready for delivery to our customers.
Key Accountabilities

Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, clarify requirements and support technology-led business change.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, SMEs and external vendors to define current and future-state processes.
- Analyse business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, automation and greater efficiency.
- Document business requirements, conceptualise business processes and workflows, and support solution design.
- Conduct business impact assessments to support prioritisation, business change and delivery decisions.
- Work closely with Software Developers, vendors and business stakeholders to clarify and elaborate on requirements.
- Support stakeholders in envisioning future ways of working and the changes required to enable transformation.
- Define and manage project timelines, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed milestones.
- Liaise with Test Analysts and Business SMEs to support successful execution of test cases.
- Investigate and resolve issues in collaboration with system developers, functional users and business teams.
- Support quality assurance activities to confirm systems meet business requirements and are ready for release.
- Mentor, support and uplift the capability of Business Analysts and Business SMEs.
About You
-
5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with strong recent experience in the Financial Services sector.
- End-to-end knowledge of the loan life cycle, across residential or commercial lending.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and strong requirements analysis skills.
- Experience analysing APIs, integrations and system interactions would be highly regarded.
- Experience producing data mapping and integration documentation would be beneficial.
- Exposure to Agile environments, Salesforce, lending platforms, broker distribution channels and multi-vendor technology transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI agents, automation and emerging digital technologies, and how they can support business transformation and process improvement.
- Strong consultation, negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly analytical, organised and detail-oriented, with strong prioritisation and multitasking capability.
- Resourceful, independent and energetic, with a high level ofprofessionalism, ethics and integrity.
