We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Solar Rooftop & Battery delivery team. This role is suited to an experienced, safety-focused electrician who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to work on meaningful renewable energy projects.
About the Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), EV chargers and general electrical works, primarily across metropolitan based commercial and industrial sites. You will work closely with Project Administrators, Project Managers and other field staff to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Solar, Battery & Electrical Installation
- Install Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems and EV chargers in accordance with design documentation, Australian Standards manufacturer requirements, and industry leading best practice.
- Carry out general electrical works associated with renewable energy projects
- Ensure installations meet SAA guidelines and Clean Energy Regulator requirements
Testing, Commissioning & Quality Assurance
- Perform testing and commissioning of installed systems
- Complete electrical testing, system verification and commissioning documentation
- Identify and rectify defects or non-conformances
Safety, Compliance & Standards
- Work in accordance with WHS requirements, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and site-specific safety plans
- Ensure all works comply with AS/NZS standards, network requirements and company procedures
- Participate in toolbox talks, site inspections and safety reporting
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, project administrators and delivery teams
- Provide clear feedback on site conditions, variations and technical issues
- Assist in resolving on-site issues to minimise delays and rework
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete installation records, test results, as-built information and compliance documentation
- Support project handover and close-out activities
- Assist with warranty inspections and rectification works as required
About You
You are a motivated electrician who enjoys working in a team environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.
You will bring:
- Current Electrical Licence
- SAA Accreditation
- Experience installing Solar PV systems
- Battery and EV charger experience not essential but highly regarded
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical safety requirements
- A commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship
- A solution focused mindset and a continuous improvement attitude
- Good communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites
- Current driver’s licence
