Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Shutdown Planner to join our team on the CD4 Project supporting BHP operations in Port Hedland, WA. Working within our Engineering Construction division, you'll play a key role in the planning and coordination of major shutdown activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently and in line with project and client requirements. Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop and maintain detailed shutdown schedules using Primavera P6.
-
Coordinate work scopes, sequencing and resource requirements across multiple disciplines.

Liaise with client representatives, project teams and execution personnel to ensure shutdown readiness.

Prepare shutdown work packs, task lists and planning documentation.

Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements to support execution.

Monitor schedule performance and update progress throughout planning and execution phases.

Identify schedule risks, constraints and critical path activities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.

Support shutdown reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all planning activities comply with client procedures, project requirements and Monadelphous safety standards.
What you’ll bring:

Previous experience as a Shutdown Planner within mining, heavy industry, oil & gas or major industrial maintenance projects.

Demonstrated experience planning large-scale shutdowns for iron ore processing facilities or similar operations.

Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.

Experience using SAP (or equivalent CMMS) for maintenance planning and scheduling.

Strong understanding of shutdown planning methodologies, work management processes and critical path scheduling.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintenance documentation and work scopes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.

High level of organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
