About us
Aequalis Disability Services supports NDIS participants to live their best life. We do that by empowering people to set and achieve their own goals, and by building relationships our participants and their families can trust. Everyone on our team plays a part in that, including the people keeping our billing accurate and our participants' funding on track.
About the role
We're looking for an Accounts Officer to manage billing, claiming and reconciliation across our NDIS participant base. You'll invoice plan-managed and self-managed participants, prepare bulk claims for NDIA-managed participants, and keep our financial records accurate and audit-ready. You'll also work directly with participants, plan managers, support coordinators and the NDIA to sort out billing questions and keep funding information current.
This is a full-time, office-based role in Narellan. It suits someone who's precise with numbers, comfortable talking to people about money, and genuinely interested in doing right by the participants behind every invoice.
What you'll be doing
- Creating and sending accurate invoices to plan-managed and self-managed participants, using the correct NDIS support item, category and price
- Preparing and uploading bulk claim files for NDIA-managed participants through the NDIS Provider Portal
- Reconciling payments against remittances and banking records, and chasing down discrepancies
- Following up overdue invoices and handling billing enquiries from participants, families, plan managers and the NDIA
- Preparing quotes for prospective participants, and completing schedules of supports, service agreements and rosters of care for new participants
- Where required, supporting payroll by checking timesheets against rostered and delivered supports
- Keeping across NDIS Price Guide and pricing arrangement changes, and applying them to our billing practice
What you'll bring
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Current Working With Children Check (paid work)
- Strong attention to detail and confidence with numbers
- Experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel, and the NDIS Provider Portal
- Experience with NDIS accounts related functions and reconciliation
- Clear, professional communication, especially over phone and email
- Ability to work independently while staying closely connected to the team
- A non-judgemental, respectful approach with participants and their families
