Produce integrated weekly rail plans that maximise network throughput and improve asset productivity. Collaborate with above rail operators and key internal stakeholders to negotiate optimal planning outcomes that support safe, efficient, and reliable rail operations.
Join Australia's largest rail freight provider and play a key role in delivering customer-focused solutions for our Network stakeholders. Using your planning, relationship management, and problem-solving skills, you'll help drive operational performance across a complex and dynamic rail environment.
- Deliver weekly rail plan scenarios and negotiate optimized weekly plan outcomes with above rail operators
- Produce Integrated Rail Plan scenarios to test alternatives in support of Network and Operator forecasting and planning for future periods
- Conduct supply chain simulation and scenario testing in support of improvement initiatives and optimisation of infrastructure maintenance and asset activity impacts
- Support above rail and below rail planners to improve and enhance integrated planning outcomes for the supply chain
- Report and provide high level of detail regarding outcomes in the integrated rail planning environment, including the monitoring of performance for input into continuous improvement forums and initiatives.
ABOUT AURIZON:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Logistics, Accounting or Economics (preferred)
- Planning and scheduling experience highly valued
- Understanding and knowledge of logistics & capacity highly regarded
- Exceptional customer service skills
- High level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and an ability to effectively manage a wide range of stakeholders
- High level analytical skills and “out of the box” thinker
- Willingness to travel and complete relevant psychometric testing for the role as required
- Intermediate skills Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
