About the Role:
This is a Fixed Term, full-time position to cover parental leave for 12 months until September 2027 at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Team of the Children’s Cancer Centre. You will be responsible for managing and supervising the provision of clinical trials in the CCC Pharmacy with an emphasis on meeting international standards and growth. The role requires support for CCC clinical trials throughout the RCH and campus partners, with responsibility for set-up, day to day management, closure and financial cost recovery for oncology clinical drug trials.
Internally, this position will be known and/or referred to as: Senior Pharmacist - Oncology Clinical Trials OR Senior Pharmacist (Grade 3) – Oncology Clinical Trials.
Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 12 - Pharamacists and will range from SX6 (Grade 3, Year 1) to SX81 (Grade 3, Year 4), from $108,820.40 to $123,905.60, plus Superannuation.
What you’ll achieve:
Maintain and develop relationships with medical and technical staff within RCH, The Department of Paediatrics (University of Melbourne) and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute
Prepare and retain quotations and invoicing of clinical trials in conjunction with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the RCH finance department
Commit to maintaining professional membership to relevant organisations including the Children’s Oncology Group and the Australia New Zealand Children’s Haematology and Oncology Group (ANZCHOG)
Participate in the weekend and overtime roster, as required, and the on-call roster for the Oncology Pharmacy
Your skills and experience:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
Registered to practice as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & name appears on the register of the Pharmacy Board of Australia
Significant experience in oncology +/- clinical trials
About the Pharmacy Department:
The Pharmacy Department is a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children’s Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
