The short version
Liveheats builds the tech powering action and adventure sports competitions around the world. Surf, skate, snow, surf lifesaving. If a kid lands their first backside air at a comp this weekend, there is a decent chance the scores, the live stream, and the stoked grandparents watching from home are all running through Liveheats.
The product team ships something worth talking about every couple of months. We need somebody to tell the world about it and get existing customers to adopt new features. That is where you come in.
The company
Liveheats started ten years ago when two surfers watched organisers at their local boardriders club drowning in paper and spreadsheets, and figured they could build something better. Today, the platform runs thousands of events a year across more than 60 countries, works with organisations such as the Freeride World Tour, USASA, surf life-saving bodies across three countries, and recently partnered with a global pro action sports tour. The team is about 23 people, most of whom have competed in the sports they build for, backed by investors including a former world surfing champion.
The role
You will be the growth engine connecting what gets built with the people who use it. Around 60% of your time sits with the product teams in Australia and Europe, taking new features to market. The rest supports the commercial team with landing pages, webinars, EDMs and sales assets.
A typical project: the team ships a new video product that unlocks streaming, clipping and replays. You own the launch from campaign strategy through execution. The webinar, the landing page, the email sequence, the social content, and the PR. Then you watch the adoption numbers climb and figure out what to do next.
You will work alongside a Head of Brand who handles the big creative swings, with a marketing budget behind you and a lot of room to run.
You
- Around 3 years in marketing or growth, ideally as the marketer in a startup or a multi-skilled operator in a smaller agency
- Content-led. You can plan a campaign, then shoot, edit and publish it yourself
- Working knowledge of paid platforms, EDM and CRM, with the curiosity to figure out the rest
- Comfortable working remotely and async, including a couple of late calls a week with the European team, with lazy starts the next morning
- Happy to travel to events. Some of them have very good waves
- Bonus points if you live and breathe action or adventure sports
The practical stuff
- Remote anywhere in Australia, with Melbourne preferred since a few of the team are there.
- Full-time, $80k + super.
