About the Role
Hayman Hair Salon is seeking a talented, passionate and experienced Hairdresser to join our Spa, Salon & Wellness team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a luxury island resort where no two days are the same. From creating beautiful bridal hairstyles and event looks to delivering exceptional colour, cutting and styling services, you will play an important role in our guests' experience.
As the salon operates with a single hairdresser, you must be confident working independently while remaining connected to and supported by the wider Spa & Wellness team. You'll be responsible for managing your own appointments, maintaining the salon, and delivering a consistently high standard of service.
The salon operates within the Spa & Wellness department, this is a dual Hairdresser and Reception role, requiring the successful candidate to also provide professional reception support as operationally required, including welcoming guests, managing appointments and enquiries, processing retail sales and guest transactions, assisting with guest arrivals and treatment check-ins, supporting day-to-day Spa & Wellness operations, and working collaboratively across both the salon and reception while confidently managing the salon independently to meet business needs.
Base rate $36.42 + penalties + loading
What we need from you
Essential Criteria

Qualified Hairdresser with relevant Australian-recognised qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years' industry experience preferred
-
Demonstrated experience with bridal hair, weddings and special event styling
-
Excellent cutting, colouring and styling skills
-
Ability to work confidently and independently in a sole hairdresser role

Strong organisational and time management skills
-
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
-
Professional presentation and positive attitude
-
Ability to work within a broader team while independently managing the salon

Current Australian working rights
Desirable Criteria

Experience working with Kevin Murphy products
-
Makeup artistry qualifications or professional makeup experience highly regarded

Experience in luxury hotels, resorts or premium salons

Retail sales experience

Experience educating guests on professional home hair care
