Pay rate: Salary Range $51-56 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging (commensurate with experience)
Hours per week: 38 hours

CatholicCare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Team Leader to join our Fostering Futures – Permanency Support Program (PSP). This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team of Case Managers who work alongside children, young people, families and carers to achieve safe, stable and lasting permanency outcomes.
As the PSP Team Leader, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, practice guidance and operational support to a team of professionals delivering high-quality case management services. You'll champion trauma-informed, child-centered and restorative practice while ensuring services meet legislative, contractual and quality requirements.
Working closely with the Manager – Permanency Support Program, you will help shape a positive team culture, oversee complex casework, support continuous improvement and ensure children and young people experience safety, stability and belonging.

What You Bring to the Role
Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Behavioural or Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
Professional Registrations & Checks
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence
- Willingness to travel across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Macarthur regions
What We're Looking For
A confident, values-driven leader who brings:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within child, youth and family services, including leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Permanency Support Programs, child protection legislation, safeguarding, governance and compliance requirements.
- Extensive understanding of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, child development, family systems and the impacts of trauma and abuse.
- Experience overseeing complex case management, risk assessment and permanency planning, while exercising sound judgement in complex environments.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, analytical and digital literacy skills, including experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- A child-centred, culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, carers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Integrity, resilience and accountability, with a commitment to reflective practice, continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
