The Opportunity

Benalla Health is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Acute Unit (Part Time & Full time Hours Available).

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager position is a key role within the Acute Unit in the mentoring and leading of nursing staff to provide high quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities of the role include;

Mentor and lead the nursing staff to provide high quality care to patients.
Provide visible leadership and clinical oversight to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care is delivered at all times.
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their goals are heard and their rights are respected.
Take responsibility for daily coordination of nursing staff and resource allocation according to acuity and skill mix.
Carry out day-to-day management of the unit in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).
