ROLE
The Graduate Manufacturing Engineer - is a graduate engineering role with experience in technical calibration, specification, design, development, project management, and maintenance of water monitoring products for Aquamonix Australia.
The graduate manufacturing engineer will work closely with internal engineers, the operations management team, sales, marketing, and subcontractors for the design and implementation of new products.
With support, training, and mentoring by the engineering team, it is expected that over time, the candidate will become a key technical expert for water monitoring products in Aquamonix.
This is a product development and support role for Aquamonix’s water monitoring products and is crucial to the growth plans for this business unit.
The role supports the growth of the business with excellent technical decision-making through the design, validation, and implementation of new products and product changes.
While the role is primarily based in Milperra, NSW, it is foreseeable that the role will entail travel to application sites, test laboratories, and other Aquamonix manufacturing facilities.
Activity
- Contractor Management – Engineering drawings and change register management
- Project management – BOM activity, implementation, and stakeholder coordination
- Test and validation – using in-house laboratory equipment
- Technical specifications – Utilize design software Autodesk Inventor
- Problem Diagnosing – Assisting in problem solving product issues
- Production assistance – Assist production staff with WIP items
It is required that engineering changes are conducted according to Aquamonix processes.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Supports and assists the current Engineering staff with management of drawing, ECRO and NCR (Non-compliance) registers.
2. Assist in sourcing quotations from 3rd parties for engineering implementation
3. Assist in the validation of designs to ensure the reliability, the required quality.
4. Ensures the company is held safe against liability by careful attention to codes and statutory approval requirements.
5. Provides technical support to Marketing/Sales and participates in the setting of standards, specifications, test procedures, and the formulation of data sheets.
6. As this role has responsibility for product integrity, this position has authorisation to:-
a) Conduct QA/QC checks on WIP products
b) Check and request sign-off on new or modified engineering drawings from engineering team
7. Displays commitment and ensures adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).
8. Ensures the development and maintenance of good working conditions through the support of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and through involvement in Industrial and Employee relations. Responsible for the risk management of the areas under their control, by identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards. Conformance with statutory Safety and Environmental requirements is considered to be the minimum performance level. Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities are as per section 1.23 of the Occupational Health and Safety Manual.
9. Take responsibility for personal safety and that of subordinates by complying with the Aquamonix OH&S Policies and Procedures Manual.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
