About the Role: We are seeking a Personal Trainer to deliver engaging, person-centred exercise offerings across two ACH residential care homes. While this is a full-time role, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
- ACH Group Vita – Daw Park (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays): Lead the onsite gym as the principal Personal Trainer, coordinating exercise groups and creating a welcoming, motivating environment with support from Health Services colleagues.
- ACH Group Kapara – Glenelg (Wednesdays): Work alongside another Personal Trainer and a multidisciplinary team in our largest residential care home, supporting residents from diverse backgrounds to stay active, confident and connected.

What You’ll Do:
- Support residents to reach their fitness and health goals through exercise offerings in the gym, communal areas and resident rooms
- Create engaging programs that inspire older people to stay active and achieve their goals
- Facilitate individual and group exercise sessions as guided by a Physiotherapist
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, carers, and Allied Health professionals
- Champion Healthy and Active Ageing across ACH Group
About You:
You’re a skilled, enthusiastic Personal Trainer who genuinely cares about helping older people live a Good Life. You bring energy, empathy, and a commitment to quality care.
You’ll also have:
- Experience as a Personal Trainer (experience with older adults is highly valued)
- Strong motivational and engagement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Certificate III or IV in Personal Training
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, no older than 12 months at commencement of employment
- A genuine passion for supporting older people
Bonus points if you also hold a Certificate III in Aged Care.
