- RN/M1 $77,824 to $106,187 p.a. + penalties
- RN/M2C $90,913 to $114,917 p.a. + penalties
- Permanent, Part-Time- 32 hours per week, 7 day roster
This position is multi‑classed as either RN/M1 or RN/M2C and the appointment classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
This role provides proficient, person-centred emergency nursing care and/or case management within a fast-paced emergency clinical setting, ensuring timely assessment, prioritisation, and monitoring of patients in accordance with clinical urgency. The position involves implementing and evaluating emergency care plans, supporting rapid therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary emergency team to achieve safe and effective patient outcomes. It also includes oversight of care delivery within the shift, supporting efficient patient flow through the emergency department, and responding promptly to changing clinical conditions and service demands.
In addition to direct emergency care responsibilities, the role contributes to the coordination and improvement of emergency service delivery, including supporting clinical protocols, change processes, and quality improvement initiatives. The position plays an important role in education by supporting students and junior clinicians through supervision, teaching, and fostering a strong learning culture within the high-acuity environment. It also involves participation in audit, research, and evaluation activities relevant to emergency care, while providing shift-by-shift clinical leadership, acting as a key resource within the team, and ensuring continuity, safety, and high-quality care across the emergency department.
