Take the Wheel and Lead our Team

Our Daimler Trucks Perth dealership is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to lead our high-performing team and play a key role in keeping one of Western Australia's leading heavy vehicle dealerships running at its best.

Working with premium brands including Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner and Fuso, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop, leading a team of approximately 15-20 Technicians and Apprentices while ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring people, driving productivity, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with overtime opportunities and weekend work available when required.

About the Role

Lead, mentor and support a large team of Technicians and Apprentices
Oversee daily workshop operations — scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
Monitor job progress to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely completion
Liaise with Service Advisors to keep customers informed and satisfied
Maintain accurate job records, invoicing, and warranty compliance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and profitability
Provide hands-on technical guidance and training to your team

About You

Previous leadership experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman, Workshop Controller, or similar role within the automotive, heavy vehicle, or machinery industry
Strong communication, organisational, and people management skills, with the ability to support and motivate a team
A proactive approach with a passion for developing technicians and apprentices while driving quality and efficiency
Experience working with European, American, or Japanese truck brands is advantageous but not essential
