Summary

A vanade is growing, and we seek passionate and driven technology professionals to join our Managed Services team delivering continuous value to our client’s businesses.

We are seeking a cloud security support engineer with a background in Azure Platform support .

The role requires professional experience within security engineering and a strong background in certification, accreditation, and the support of robust security frameworks within complex ICT environments.

C ore to the role

You will be knowledgeable in Australian Government information assurance requirements, including the Information Security Manual (ISM), NIST CSF2.0 and Essential 8 ML2 .

We also need you to have experience across a variety of technologies that may include:

Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Sentinel.

Microsoft Defender suite, Azure Security Center , and Sentinel SIEM), Cloud security & data logging (Azure ) , Incident response, Cryptography, Network and System security.

Experience with Security Copilot (highly regarded)

Hands-on experience with Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Log Management/Analysis.

Hands-on experience managing security infrastructure (firewalls, IPSs, WAFs, endpoint protection, SIEM, log management, Zscaler, Proofpoint).

Proven experience in reviewing security vulnerabilities.

Proficiency with vulnerability management toolsets.

U nderstanding of IT service management (ITIL disciplines: change, configuration, asset, incident, problem management).

Experience and understanding of how applications, services and infrastructure are deployed into public cloud services (Microsoft Azure).

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills to clearly explain security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders . Have familiarity with current cybersecurity trends such as Zero Trust, Extended Detection and Response (XDR), or AI-driven security analytics. And will have experience being responsible for incident response coordination, investigation, and remediation, as well as staying current with threat intelligence to proactively defend against emerging threats.

You are a cloud security support engineer with a track record of s upport ing the security of complex environments with a strong client focus.
You have good communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute effectively to our Managed Services organisation.

Y ou will also possess analytical and problem-solving skills enabling you to be creative and innovative in the support of our clients .
You will also seek to continually improve our clients’ environments though evergreen practices and platform evolution.

You will be an Australian Citizen ( E xisting security clearance will be highly regarded ).

I n addition, your professional skillset likely includes :

Proven ability to work within a structured IT governance framework and deliver results that adhere to relevant Commonwealth standards and policies.

S takeholder engagement and relationship management skills, both written and verbal with ability to negotiate outcomes as required .

Provide technical expertise to projects and business areas .

Maintains a high level of professionalism, has sound judgement and decision-making skills.

Ability to work autonomously and is highly motivated.
