Job Description

What you'll be doing:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced assistant financial controller to join the team on a fixed term 9-month contract. Responsibilities will include:

Supervising the Finance team in daily operations
Supporting with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cashiering.
Developing and monitoring all financial systems
Improve systems and processes to enhance each department’s profitability.
Maintaining internal controls, credit limits and compliance
Preparing accurate and timely monthly accounts
Assist with completing monthly financial statements
Providing financial advice and support to management

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the role:

Previous experience as an AFC/Senior Accountant
Proven ability to train and develop team members
Ability to effectively time manage large volume work load
Able to maintain calm composure while working under tight deadlines
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
High level of interpersonal & communication skills
Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable, however not essential)
