Fullbore Quarry Services is a family-owned Australian business supplying drill & blast services to quarry and construction industry.
We are currently seeking experienced Drill Fitters and Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our local maintenance team and help strengthen our capability. Fullbore QS deploy, operate and maintain a modern fleet of Top Hammer and DTH drilling rigs. including Sandvik DP1100i / DP1500i & Ranger DX900i drill rigs.
We are currently seeking Field service technicians to operate in Greater Melbourne area.

- Relevant Trade qualifications
- Preferred experience maintaining Surface Drilling equipment – Sandvik equipment preferred
- Have strong problem solving, diagnostic and trouble shooting skills
- Strong and proven safety culture

- Computer literacy
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
- You must have the right to work in Australia
- Have a current valid drivers license
As part of your role you will need to be able to:
- Service and repair Fullbore's fleet of drilling rigs
- Follow company procedures including completing daily electronic inspections and forms using our cloud base IMS system
- Understand Hydraulic and Electrical schematics
- Understand parts manuals and workshop manuals
- Reporting and regular updates to maintenance manager and drill & blast supervisor
Your role will require working autonomously as well as as part of a larger team. This position is based out of Fullbore Quarry Services’ Somerton workshop facility, supporting our growing fleet and customer base across the Melbourne Metro region. The role is designed for a Metro-based roving fitter, with workshop and field responsibilities focused on maintaining and supporting drill equipment operating in and around metropolitan customer sites.
Fullbore’s head office and main workshop facility is located in Wodonga, North East Victoria, with ongoing technical support, training, and operational assistance provided from our broader business network. You will receive internal technical support and product training from ex-Sandvik surface drill product specialists and experienced drill fitters, ensuring you are backed by a knowledgeable and highly capable team environment.
Pay: $40.50 – $45.00 per hour
