Join a Directorate that helps plan, build and deliver the future of our region.
As Executive Assistant to the Director Strategy, Community & Development, you'll provide critical coordination and organisational support across a dynamic portfolio spanning community, strategic and development functions. You will key to keeping priorities moving, anticipating and mitigating challenges and ensuring the Director is well-supported to focus on strategic outcomes.
We are looking for a highly organised professional with exceptional communication skills, strong judgement and ideally, an understanding of local government planning and development processes.
What your day will look like:
- Support the Director to manage priorities, workflows and key business activities.
- Coordinate meetings, reports, correspondence and Directorate initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with Councillors, developers, consultants, community representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare quality briefings, reports and communications to support decision-making.
- Support planning, development and community-related projects and activities.
- Contribute to governance, compliance and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Assist with procurement, financial administration and resource coordination.

What you’ll bring:
- Experience providing executive or senior administrative support in a complex environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written communication skills, including report and briefing preparation.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
- Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of local government process, ideally in development and planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contemporary business systems.
