The purpose of this role
As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we’re growing our network of Visa Medical Assessment Centres so we can provide a Bupa experience for our visa applicants in the communities where they live. This has created a range of frontline and leadership roles in new purpose-built medical centres and opportunities to grow your career with a global health care brand where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for:
- A casual position: this is a true casual role, shifts across a rotational roster
- Centre hours are from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays 8am to 4pm during peak seasons
- Does not need to work a full 7.6hr shift if preferred: a 10am - 2pm roster will be considered for the right person
Hours increasing from September - Jan 2027 throughout peak periods & supporting leave coverage

What you’ll need to make it possible
Reporting to and supported by the Senior Health Assessor, Pathology Collectors/Health Assessors will be responsible for providing quality health assessments to customers undertaking a medical assessment as part of their visa application process.
The role includes:
- Identity checks, blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index, vision testing, urinalysis, and venepuncture
- Facilitate smooth delivery of the applicants through the medical assessment to ensure a timely and accurate service
- Adhere to clinical governance and associated policies and procedures
- Accurate documentation of results in eHealth record
What you'll need to make it possible
- Certificate III or IV in Pathology or 2+ years' experience at a NATA accredited service provider
- Fast paced phlebotomy experience essential
- Paediatric collection experience desirable but not essential
- Experience working with people of multi-cultural background
- Excellent customer service skills
