At Bindaree, this role exists to keep our Cooma plant safe, compliant and running smoothly by making sure every part of by‑product processing is under control, from raw material flow and odour to effluent and waste. You will be the key point of responsibility for rendering and environmental systems on site, working closely with the Plant Manager, Environmental Officer and maintenance team to protect both people and the surrounding environment.

To be successful, you’ll need:
- Experience as a rendering operator in a red meat processing environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to work with people at all levels and build solid working relationships with internal teams and external auditors.
- Proven ability to lead people operationally, whether as a leading hand, supervisor or manager.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to multi‑task, perform under pressure and adapt to change when needed.
- Sound technical knowledge of by‑products processes and environmental systems, with a dependable, flexible approach to working hours.
- MSMBLIC001 Licence to operate a standard boiler (highly beneficial, not required).
- Experience working with or in a maintenance team and performing basic maintenance duties (not required).
