Background:

Torn Marketing Pty Ltd (trading as TORN) is an Australian digital media agency backed by over 30 years of combined industry experience. The company plans, buys, optimises and reports on paid advertising on behalf of its clients, with a client base concentrated in the Sydney market. Its services span paid search, paid social, programmatic display and out-of-home media buying, campaign measurement and tracking, digital strategy and lead generation. The company acts as media buyer of record for its clients and is directly accountable for the allocation, pacing and performance of client advertising budgets.

Job Description:

The Advertising Specialist is responsible for advising clients on advertising strategy and for planning, buying, controlling and optimising their paid media investment across channels. The role is client-facing and carries direct accountability for client advertising budgets and campaign outcomes. It is based in Sydney to service the company’s Sydney client base in person.

Daily tasks include:

Advise clients on advertising strategy and recommend the channel mix, budget allocation and campaign scheduling required to meet their commercial objectives.
Plan, negotiate and place the purchase of advertising inventory across paid search, paid social, programmatic display and out-of-home media, and manage bookings and relationships with media vendors.
Control and reconcile client advertising budgets, authorising spend allocation and pacing across campaigns, channels and flight periods.
Monitor and optimise campaign delivery against agreed cost-per-enquiry and return targets, adjusting bidding, targeting, budget splits and creative rotation.
Prepare and present campaign performance analysis and forward recommendations directly to clients and budget holders at scheduled reviews.
Brief and quality-assure production and advertising-operations resources on campaign builds, conversion tracking implementation and creative specifications.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification at Bachelor degree level or higher in Advertising, Marketing, Business or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience);
At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience in the occupation;
Demonstrated experience managing and reconciling paid media budgets across paid search, paid social and programmatic display;
Working proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and campaign measurement/analytics platforms;
Demonstrated ability to present and defend media recommendations directly to clients and budget holders;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and translate it into actionable buying decisions.

Annual Salary:

$79,499 + superannuation

Full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Sydney, NSW

Pay: $79,499.00 per year

Work Location: In person
