Are you a hands-on IT Infrastructure Specialist who enjoys owning and optimising end-to-end environments? We’re looking for someone to be the on-site expert at Jowett Motor Group, driving secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions across the business.

In this role, you’ll act as the sole on-site technology specialist for our environment, managing infrastructure, supporting users, and partnering with external vendors to deliver reliable and secure systems. Your work will span network management, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, automation, and security, ensuring our technology supports business performance and growth.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll play a key role in modernising infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high levels of system performance and security.

In this role, you will:

Manage and optimise network infrastructure, including ISP connectivity, performance, and security.
- Act as the key liaison with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Administer server environments, databases, and corporate systems across the business.
- Maintain backup systems (CommVault & Veeam) and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Configure and manage secure remote and cloud access solutions.
- Implement automation using Microsoft Power Automate to improve efficiency.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune packages and Group Policy updates.
- Support and resolve escalated IT issues across hardware, software, and systems.
- Deliver end-to-end technical support across all JMG services.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
We're looking for someone with:

Proven experience managing IT infrastructure in complex or enterprise environments.
- Strong networking knowledge, including segmentation, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and endpoint management (Intune).
- SharePoint administration and deployment experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting hybrid (cloud and on-prem) environments.

Jowett Motor Group was born from the experience and forethought of Tony Jowett in 1995 with brands Audi, Volkswagen and Subaru, before opening Eastern Honda Doncaster in 2000 which remains today. JMG has continued as a family-owned and operated business with its award-winning group of BMW and Honda dealerships across Victoria, South Australia and now the Australian Capital Territory. JMG is an established retail partner of Honda Australia, operating three metro Honda Centres: Eastern Honda, Northern Honda & Brighton Honda Centre. The JMG journey with Honda has been recognised by multiple National Dealer of the Year and Customer Excellence awards, to now leading national sales and service volumes. A new era was marked in 2013 for JMG with the opening of its first BMW dealership, Waverley BMW. Fast establishing itself as a key member of the BMW dealership network through a strong customer focused approach and commitment to excellence, JMG acquired South Yarra BMW in 2020. This was followed by the greenfield development of Berwick BMW opening in late 2020 and the recent introduction of Berwick MINI Garage. 2021 marked the opening of Glenelg BMW and MINI Garage in South Australia with a full redevelopment of the Glenelg site underway - due for completion in the second half of 2025. In September 2024, JMG will officially take over all existing business operations in Canberra BMW - including Canberra MINI Garage and Canberra BMW Motorrad. The growth plan for JMG continues with the opening of Chery Doncaster in July 2024 and Chery Brighton in early 2025.
