About the role

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Bathurst site, you will play a key role in supporting both our yard operations and customer service function, ensuring customers receive outstanding service while contributing to the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the branch.

What you will be doing:

Safely operate plant and equipment to support the processing and handling of reinforcing steel.
Pick, pack, load and unload customer orders using forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment (training provided where required).
Provide friendly and professional customer service to customers both over the counter and over the phone.
Process customer orders, enquiries and bookings accurately using internal systems.
Coordinate with the sales, operations and logistics teams to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time.
Maintain a clean, organised and safety-focused work environment while following all site procedures.
Contribute as a collaborative team member, supporting daily branch operations and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

What you will bring:

A strong commitment to safety and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
Previous experience in an operational, manufacturing, warehousing, construction or customer-facing environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
A reliable, team-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your work.
A willingness to learn, strong attention to detail and confidence using computers and internal systems
