Sales Engineer – Intelligent Warehouse Automation
Location: Castle Hill, Sydney NSW (with frequent domestic & occasional international travel)

Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation + commission/bonus

About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing team at Techsorta Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based company specialising in intelligent warehouse automation solutions – including conveyor systems, parcel sortation, DWS (dimensioning, weighing, scanning), and robotics integration.
In this role, you will work with clients across Australia (and occasionally overseas) to understand their operational needs, design tailored automation solutions, prepare proposals and quotations, and support project delivery from concept through to installation.
This is a genuine sales + technical role – not just order-taking. You will be out on-site, meeting clients, solving problems, and helping them improve their warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site client visits to assess operational requirements and gather project data
- Design system layouts and prepare technical proposals using design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Prepare quotations, cost analysis, and commercial bids
- Coordinate with internal technical teams, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales growth
- Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions (e.g., CeMAT, MODEX, LogiMAT)
About You
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Project Sales, or Pre‑sales role (B2B environment preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to client sites
- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen with full work rights
Highly Regarded:
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills
- Experience in the automation, logistics, materials handling, or industrial equipment sectors
- Hands‑on experience with PLC, control systems, or electrical/mechanical installation
