Job Impact
We are seeking an experienced NV2-Cleared Security Supervisor to perform a high-profile role safeguarding a major Telecommunications Data Centre in North Sydney. This critical frontline supervisory position requires professionalism, leadership, vigilance and integrity to ensure the highest standards of security operations and customer service.
$8,000 Sign-On Bonus available for full-time permanent employees (payable in two instalments upon completion of 6-month probation and 12 months tenure).
About the Role
The security team at this location plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and security of critical telecommunications infrastructure. As the Security Supervisor, you will oversee daily security operations, supervise security personnel, maintain compliance with site security requirements, and act as a key liaison between the client and Certis leadership.
You will lead by example, ensuring all team members uphold strict security protocols while providing a professional and welcoming experience for visitors, contractors and stakeholders entering the facility.
Location: North Sydney (Primary Site) with occasional travel and support required across multiple Sydney locations as operationally required.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

Supervise daily security operations and support security officers across all shifts.

Conduct shift briefings, handovers and ensure operational continuity.

Act as the primary escalation point for incidents, emergencies and compliance matters.

Monitor staffing requirements and assist with rostering and workforce coverage.

Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality customer service.

Ensure compliance with all site security procedures, access control requirements and audit standards.

Manage access requests and security records using client systems.
-
Respond to, investigate and document incidents, producing accurate reports and activity logs.
-
Support the training, coaching and development of security personnel.
-
Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain a safe and secure environment.
-
Promote a strong safety, compliance and performance culture through effective leadership.
About You
Essential Requirements

Australian Citizenship (due to government security clearance requirements).
-
Current NV2 Security Clearance.

Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Leading)

Valid First Aid Certificate (3-year validity) with current CPR Certificate (1-year validity).

Ability to successfully complete an Australian Police Check.

Previous experience in a security supervisory role within a high-security, critical infrastructure, government or corporate environment.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic operational environment.

Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities.

Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with report writing, incident management and security operations.

Excellent observational and situational awareness skills.
