Role Overview:
As an Assistant Development Manager, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of development and value-add projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with senior development leaders, you’ll help coordinate consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with approved development objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support feasibility assessments, due diligence, and development planning for new and existing projects.
- Assist in preparing development briefs, budgets, cashflows, programmes, and statutory approval applications.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, authorities, tenants, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support leasing and tenancy delivery activities, including lease plans, lessor works, and tenant coordination.
- Assist with design management, consultant procurement, contract administration, and project reporting.
- Contribute to tendering, construction delivery, variation management, and project completion activities.
- Monitor project performance against scope, programme, cost, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Prepare regular project reports and support the successful handover of completed developments.
This role offers exposure across the full development lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through to design, construction, leasing, and project delivery.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years’ experience in property development, project management, construction, or a related field.
- Exposure to development project lifecycles, including feasibility, approvals, design, contract administration, procurement, and construction delivery.
- Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, authorities, utility providers, tenants, and other key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of development feasibility, project budgets, scheduling, risk management, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret technical, financial, contractual, and planning documentation, and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong project coordination, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.
