Plan the work that keeps our plant running. As our Maintenance Planner, you'll own the planning and scheduling of all maintenance across site – electrical, mechanical and contractor work – from weekly plans through to major shutdowns, keeping our clinker kilns, mills and cement processing facilities operating safely and efficiently. Your Opportunity
- Drive maintenance planning and scheduling across electrical, mechanical and contractor work to ensure equipment is inspected and maintained to specification, supporting budgeted plant performance and key assets like Mills and rotary Kilns.
- Maintain our SAP maintenance management system with accurate planned maintenance data, work order generation, processing and closeout to reflect schedules and resource requirements.
- Partner with the Reliability team to capture lessons from equipment failures, update maintenance processes, and continuously improve planning to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage maintenance backlog, monitor KPIs, review equipment modifications against BOMs, and ensure all changes are captured in our systems.
- Lead shutdown planning and execution across all lifecycle phases - preparation, pre-work, work, post-work and feedback. Analyse detailed shutdown plans, identify conflicts and deviations, propose solutions, and produce progress S curves.
- Collaborate with Reliability Engineers, team leaders, and Area Coordinators to develop detailed work scopes, delivery plans, and cost forecasts for major projects.
- Champion continuous improvement - challenge the status quo and drive ideas to enhance plant, process, and people performance.
- Support site safety by planning and scheduling work to meet SHE KPIs, ensure relevant SHE documentation is embedded in work orders, and verify all contractors comply with site safety requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Proven maintenance planning experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing or mining.
- Solid understanding of maintenance systems and work management process.
- Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS highly regarded.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, or an Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience scheduling complex shutdowns or projects using MS Project highly regarded.
- Strong ability to prioritise, manage competing demands, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise scheduled work.
- Understanding of budget setting, tracking, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable working across teams and levels.
- Flexible, ambitious, and keen to grow within the organisation with the ability to influence and drive change.
