The role:

The Rowing – Senior & Intermediate Squad Coordinator will lead the administration and management of the Senior & Intermediate Squad Program which includes coordinating training logistics, coaches and equipment allocation for all crews in those two squads. The coordinator will also assist with administration for program development, coach education and development, including the implementation of programs, and technical direction within the Senior & Intermediate Rowing programs.
Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and manage training programs.
- Communicate weekly plans to rowers and coaches.
- Oversee crew selection and maintain progress records.
- Monitor student wellbeing and coordinate support services.
- Schedule training times and manage boat allocations.
- Engage with parents, students, and coaches regularly.
- Support and guide coaches to enhance performance.
- Recruit new rowing talent, especially at Year 8.
- Plan rowing camps and attend championships.
- Ensure coaching consistency across programs.
- Assist with coach education, performance reviews, and recruitment.
- Promote the rowing program within the school and community.

About You
- Rowing Australia Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
- Recreational Motorboat licence
- Current Working with Children's Check (WWCC) Employee registration
- Current First Aid – Level 2 (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009), Anaphylaxis (22578VIC) and Asthma (22702VIC) certifications, maintained in accordance with required renewal periods (CPR annually; others every three years).
- Proven results as a coach and/or school rowing coordinator
- Experience in coaching schoolgirl rowing teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in relevant digital tools and administrative systems
- Appropriate qualification and demonstrated expertise in relevant technical areas
- Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice
- Alignment with MLC’s values and policies

- Adherence to all College policies and demonstration of behaviours in accordance with the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
Desirable
- Light Rigid Vehicle Driver’s License
- RA Level 2 Rowing Coaching Qualification
