As Senior Financial Analyst – Integration, you’ll support the General Manager Finance – Technology & Corporate Services through a major integration project with our new parent company. You’ll play a key role in building robust financial models, supporting budgets and forecasts, and aligning performance reporting with broader enterprise and shareholder requirements. Working closely with Finance and business stakeholders, you’ll help strengthen reporting disciplines, simplify decision-making and provide clear financial insight across the business.

What you’ll do
- Develop, build, maintain and improve financial models that support budgets, forecasts, business cases and strategic planning
- Build clear, driver-based models that support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and risk and opportunity assessment
- Support the alignment of reporting with enterprise, executive and shareholder reporting requirements.
- Prepare analysis that supports forecast reviews, business performance discussions and decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and planning processes by maintaining planning models, consolidating inputs and validating assumptions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate recurring finance processes and reporting activities.
- Ensure alignment across Finance and the broader business of requirements
Your experience
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, accounting, finance or another relevant numeric discipline.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering roles.
- Strong financial modelling capability, including driver-based modelling, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and clear model documentation.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, monthly performance reporting and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends and explain key drivers clearly.
- High attention to detail and a strong control mindset, with the ability to produce accurate, reliable and timely outputs.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets, planning tools and reporting systems. Oracle, Power BI or Databricks experience would be useful
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance audiences.
- Energy or utilities sector experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience improving finance processes through automation, standardisation or dashboard/reporting uplift would be useful
- CA/CPA/CIMA/CFA or equivalent qualification, or in progress qualification would be extremely beneficial
