Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Electrician to join their Townsville-based team, working from their Cluden depot. This is an excellent opportunity to secure an ongoing casual role with a respected organisation delivering essential electrical infrastructure services across Queensland.
? Pay rate between $48.24 - $59.13 per hour plus penalties
? Ongoing casual role with immediate start
? 9-day fortnight roster
? Plenty of overtime available (Penalty Rates!!)
Key Responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems including: Street lighting, Traffic signals, Basic Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
- Conduct routine inspections and fault-finding activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to maintain operational performance
- Participate in site assessments, upgrades and project-related work
- Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and safety standards
- Travel within operational regions and throughout Queensland as required to support project delivery
The successful applicant must have:
? Electrical Mechanic qualification with a current Electrical Work Licence
? Current CPR and LVR
? Construction White Card
? Current Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence
? Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical
? Availability to participate in a skills assessment
? Flexibility to travel as required throughout the region and/or Queensland
Highly Regarded:
The following qualifications and experience will be viewed favourably:
? Queensland MR Driver Licence
? ACMA Registered Open Cabler with endorsements in:
o Structured Cabling
o Optical Fibre
o Coaxial
? Elevating Work Platform (EWP)
? Working in Proximity to Traffic Competencies (Parts 1 & 2)
? Experience with street lighting, traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems
? Strong understanding of electrical construction and maintenance principles
? Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, risk management and safety requirements
