As part of their strategic development and to enhance our programme delivery framework, an opportunity exists for a dynamic professional to join our Darwin Campus team in a unique academic administrative role.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created, pivotal position that blends academic management with high-level project administration. You will be the operational anchor for both our academic programmes and specific strategic projects on the Darwin Campus. The role is ideal for a VET academic management professional looking to leverage their sector knowledge in a broader administrative and project capacity, ensuring the seamless delivery and continuous improvement of educational offerings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate academic timetables, student administration, and programme delivery activities in coordination with Campus Manager and support teams
- Maintain accurate student, academic, and compliance records.
- Support assessment administration, moderation activities, and results processing.
- Assist with audit preparation, compliance reporting, and quality assurance activities.
- Coordinate onboarding and administrative support for trainers and assessors.
- Provide administrative support for course implementations, accreditation activities, and campus projects.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, project documentation, and official submissions.
- Maintain SharePoint, Teams, and document control systems.
- Monitor project timelines, action items, and stakeholder communications.
- Support budget tracking, purchase orders, and project-related administration.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2 years' experience in programme administration, academic coordination, compliance administration, or a similar role within an RTO-CRICOS provider.
- Sound understanding of the Australian VET sector, Standards for RTOs, ESOS, and CRICOS requirements.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and documentation skills.
- Experience maintaining compliance and document control records.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Student Management Systems (SMS), SharePoint, and Teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or quality assurance activities.
- Qualification in Project Management, relevant VET qualifications and/or MBA.
- Experience coordinating education or compliance projects.
