Your impact
At Jacobs, our Energy & Power business is helping clients navigate the energy transition across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. As demand for sustainable energy infrastructure continues to grow, we're looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Power Infrastructure team.
This is an opportunity to contribute to an exciting diverse portfolio of projects spanning transmission and distribution networks, renewable energy, industrial facilities, transport infrastructure and emerging energy technologies. You'll work alongside experienced specialists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, future-focused solutions that support reliable and sustainable energy systems.
Here's What you'll do
Deliver electrical engineering services across medium and high voltage power infrastructure projects, including transmission and distribution networks.
Lead and coordinate technical design activities, working closely with local project teams and our Global Delivery Centres to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
Contribute to the development of solutions across areas such as renewable energy connections, traction power, EV infrastructure, substations, earthing and bonding, EMC and protection systems.
Manage and deliver design packages, supporting projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders, participating in technical workshops, project meetings and design reviews.
Provide guidance and mentorship to developing engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Support Jacobs' commitment to innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Here's what you'll need
We're interested in hearing from engineers with experience in medium and/or high voltage power systems, particularly those who have worked on infrastructure projects involving transmission and distribution networks, power utilities, renewables, transport, water, industrial or resource sectors.
You may bring:
Experience delivering electrical engineering design for MV and HV systems.
Knowledge of primary and/or secondary electrical systems, including protection systems, power system studies or substation design.
An understanding of Australian industry standards and engineering best practices.
Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A collaborative approach and interest in supporting the development of others.
A passion for enabling the energy transition and creating more sustainable infrastructure outcomes.
