About the opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health's precinct model brings together the University, health services and industry partners to advance education, research and innovation that improves health outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Precinct Manager to support the successful operation of the Northern Sydney Arabanoo Precinct. This is a key leadership role that combines operational management with strategic engagement, working closely with academic and professional staff, the Northern Sydney Local Health District and other partner organisations to deliver Faculty priorities.
Leading a small administrative team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the precinct while driving projects, fostering partnerships and identifying opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the University's health ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to influence how the precinct continues to evolve and support teaching, research and engagement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- support the successful operation of the Northern Sydney Arabanoo Precinct through effective operational leadership and strategic planning
- build and maintain strong relationships with academic leaders, professional staff, health service partners and external stakeholders
- lead operational and administrative projects that enhance services, systems and the overall precinct experience
- provide strategic advice and operational support to the Precinct leadership team
- oversee financial, administrative and workplace health and safety processes, ensuring compliance with University policies
- lead and develop a small professional team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
About you
You are a collaborative leader who enjoys building relationships, solving complex problems and working across organisational boundaries. You bring strong operational management experience together with the ability to influence, engage and deliver strategic outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
- demonstrated experience managing operations within a complex organisation, ideally in higher education, healthcare or a similarly large and matrixed environment
- proven ability to build productive relationships with senior leaders and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- financial management experience, including budget management and resource planning
- demonstrated experience leading teams and driving operational improvements
- excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery in a dynamic environment.
The role is based at the Northern Sydney Arabanoo Precinct, Kolling Institute, St Leonards, with monthly travel to other University campuses and partner health sites as required.
