Velflex is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of custom heat transfers, heat presses, vinyl, DTF equipment and garment decoration education. From our production facility in Brendale, we help businesses across Australia decorate garments with fast, reliable, ready-to-press transfer solutions.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Custom Transfer Sales Support Coordinator to join our Brendale sales team.
This is not a cold-calling or outbound sales role. It is a hands-on customer and order support role where you’ll help customers place orders, choose the right transfer product, receive accurate quotes, and have a smooth experience from enquiry through to production.
You’ll work closely with our existing sales support team, as well as our Pre-press and Production teams, to make sure customer orders are processed accurately, quickly and with care.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll support customers who order custom heat transfers through email, phone and our online ordering systems.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing manual customer orders received by email and phone
- Preparing quotes for custom transfer jobs
- Helping customers choose the right product for their job, such as UltraColour MAX, UltraColour PRO or ScreenPrint PRO
- Answering customer questions by phone and email in a clear, helpful and professional way
- Calling customers when needed to clarify order details, artwork questions or product requirements
- Entering and updating order and customer information in NetSuite
- Checking supplied artwork files at a basic level using Adobe Illustrator, mainly to identify obvious issues before orders move further through the system
- Working closely with Pre-press and Production to help orders move smoothly through to completion
- Following up with customers to make sure they’ve had a great experience
- Helping educate customers on how to submit orders and artwork correctly
The existing internal position description correctly centres the role around customer service, sales support, accurate order processing, quote preparation, NetSuite data accuracy and basic Illustrator artwork checks. This ad simply makes the real-world nature of the role clearer.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need heat transfer experience. We can teach that.
What matters most is that you’re a great communicator, quick learner and genuinely care about helping customers.
You’ll be a strong fit if you are:
- Friendly, positive and easy to deal with
- Calm under pressure when deadlines are tight
- Confident communicating by both phone and email
- Comfortable picking up the phone rather than relying on long email chains
- Accurate with data entry and order details
- Able to juggle multiple tasks without losing attention to detail
- Good with systems, technology and learning new processes
- Resilient when things get busy
- A team player who works well with sales, pre-press and production
- Interested in building a long-term career, not just looking for a short-term stepping stone
Experience in customer service, retail, administration, sales support, order processing, print, uniforms, promotional products or apparel would be helpful, but attitude and communication style matter more than industry experience.
What this role is not
We want to be upfront so the role attracts the right person.
This is not an outbound sales role. You won’t be cold-calling or chasing commission-based sales targets.
This is also not a graphic design role. You’ll use Illustrator only at a basic checking level. We already have dedicated Marketing and Pre-press teams, so this role is about customer support, order accuracy and helping jobs move smoothly into production.

Hours and location
This is a full-time role based primarily at our Brendale office.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, although there may be some flexibility around start and finish times to help support the wider team.
This is an in-office role, especially during training. Once you are settled and fully confident in the role, there may be potential for some work-from-home flexibility, but this should be seen as a bonus rather than an expectation.
We’re open to junior to mid-level candidates. Someone with the right attitude, customer service foundation and willingness to learn will be strongly considered.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
