We’re looking for a high-performing Marketing Manager to lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of marketing and retail media initiatives across one of our most dynamic and fast-evolving categories. This is a pivotal role that drives customer engagement, category growth, and brand equity, while also unlocking new revenue through retail media innovation.
Reporting to the Head of Category Marketing and leading a small team, you will drive the marketing activity for the Fashion category. You will play a critical role in shaping integrated campaigns that resonate with our customers, fuel commercial outcomes, and strengthen David Jones' positioning as a destination of choice.
What you'll be doing
- Own and lead the development of category-wide marketing strategies that drive awareness, traffic, and conversion across instore and online
- Build and nurture strategic brand partnerships, balancing compelling storytelling with commercial performance
- Plan and deliver full-funnel, insight-led campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels—including digital, in-store, social, CRM, and experiential
- Leverage and evolve David Jones’ retail media capabilities, activating high-impact campaigns using first-party data, onsite media, and instore activations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with buying, visual merchandising, creative, media, and digital teams to deliver cohesive, customer-first experiences
- Support broader enterprise initiatives, working closely with the wider marketing ecosystem to align beauty activity with key trading moments and priorities
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a marketing role within fashion, beauty, retail, or agency environments
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience leading a high-performance team
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes
- A deep understanding of the fashion consumer—including shopper behaviour, category trends, content formats, and cultural relevance
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance brand-building with ROI-driven decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and aligning multiple internal and external partners
- An agile, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment
