Your New Role
Whether you're joining us as a Fun Squad Educator, Responsible Person or in a Service Leadership role, you'll play an important part in creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children can learn, grow and have fun. Depending on the role, you'll support or lead the delivery of our Fun Squad program, build positive relationships with children, families and your team, and help ensure our service operates in line with the National Quality Framework and PCYC Queensland requirements. At PCYC Queensland, you'll be supported to grow your skills, develop your career and make a genuine difference in your local community.
About You
- No formal Qualifications are prerequisite for the Educator position
- Qualified Educators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children. A range of study areas may be recognised including: behavioural science, community services, creative arts, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation and human welfare studies. - Qualified Service Managers require minimum Diploma in childhood studies or other qualifications recognised by the regulatory authority
- Unqualified Service Managers require minimum Certificate III in childhood studies or other qualifications recognised by the regulatory authority AND working towards a Diploma in childhood studies or other qualifications recognised by the regulatory authority
- Must hold one of the following child protection certificate CHCPRT025 - Identify and report children and young people at risk, CHCPRT026 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people or CHCECE057 - Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles
- Ability to take on responsibility of Nominated supervisor
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing Fun Squad operations
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary Fun Squad team
- Hold a Working with Children Check/Blue Card (or able to obtain)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
