FinXL is seeking a highly analytical System Engineer Lead to provide comprehensive systems engineering and testing management services within Defence. This role drives the engineering function, ensuring IT systems interoperability is achieved in line with the Technical Assurance Framework (TAF) and formalized design management pathways.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and document the comprehensive Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) tailored for the ICT solution.

Author and manage the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) for the ICT solution.

Develop the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) to secure long-term sustainment pathways.

Collaborate with the System Architect to document TAF architectural views, including System View (SV) and Data and Information Viewpoint (DIV) artefacts.

Support the development of a Solution Architecture Definition (SAD) or High-Level Design (HLD) to meet complex integration requirements.

Assist the Security Lead in assembling the security documentation suite required for formal Defence certification and accreditation.

Manage Service Change and Transition to Support responsibilities, authoring all supporting transition artefacts.

Conduct formal engineering reviews, including System Definition Reviews (SDR), Detailed Design Reviews (DDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Transfer of Support Responsibilities (TSR).
Technical Skill & Experience:
- Proven experience leading the planning and implementation of engineering functions for complex ICT systems and solutions.

Skilled and effective communicator, both spoken and written, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas to a non-IT audience.

Strong experience in a similar large-scale enterprise or Defence environment is highly desirable.

Strong collaboration skills, with experience participating in project meetings and engaging business and technical stakeholders alike.

Effective planner with efficient time management, research capabilities, and the capacity to rapidly learn new concepts and tasks.
