Join the Otis family where collaboration, innovation and empowerment help each individual and the company reach new heights. </p><p>Come and join OTIS today and be part of the Forbes 2025 World's Best Employers!</p><p></p><h2>About You</h2><p>We are looking for a <b>Construction </b><b><b>Project Manager</b> </b>based in<b> Port Melbourne, Victoria. </b>This is a full-time role and reports to the Construction Manager.</p><p>In this role, you will be key in managing and administering Otis New Equipment (NE) and Modernization (MODs) contracts according to Otis ‘Sales Installation Process’ (SIP).</p><p></p><h2>As a Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include</h2><ul><li><p>Manage and Administer Otis NE and MODs contracts according to the Otis’ ‘Sales Installation Process’ (SIP).</p></li><li><p>Ensures that Installation teams maintain approved site programs, attend site meetings, and exercise line authority over all allocated installation field labor.</p></li><li><p>Sets objectives and priorities, assigns and reviews tasks, performance, and staffing requirements, and maintains the resource plan.</p></li><li><p>Maintains a high-performance team by recruiting, developing, and motivating field labor, setting appropriate standards of performance, and coaching the team.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, government inspectors, consultants, and within Otis to understand business challenges and recommend innovative integrated business solutions.</p></li><li><p>Ensures that reports, contract records, site diaries, accident reports, time sheets, and manpower charts are completed and submitted as required by Otis policies/procedures and state requirements.</p></li><li><p>Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues and participates in monthly project reviews with the branch and head office.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>What you will need to be successful</h2><ul><li><p>A tertiary qualification in Building or Engineering and/or an Electrical or Mechanical Trade Certificate is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Have experience leading teams of mechanics, installers, technicians or sub-contractors would be an added advantage</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within the Lift and Escalator industry</p></li><li><p>Hold a valid driver's license</p></li><li><p>Able to engage frequently and effectively with various stakeholders within Sales, New Equipment, Contract Management, Builders, Consultants, and other project stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Strong English communication skills - written and verbal</p></li><li><p>Effective planning and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Able to be a self-starter who can work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment.</p></li><li><p>Can work autonomously and in a team with minimal supervision.</p></li><li><p>Committed to excellence and innovation, and have a good work ethics.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Apply today and help us build what's next!</h2><p>If you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day. </p><p></p><p>Otis is the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company.
