Join Flinders Medical Centre as a Senior Occupational Therapist, delivering advanced clinical care within Southern Adelaide Local Health Network
About the role:
The Senior Inpatient Occupational Therapist is responsible to the Manager, Occupational Therapy to provide clinical services, leadership and coordination of the Occupational Therapy general inpatient services at SALHN acute sites.
Duties for the role will include:
The provision of high level assessment, care planning, treatment and review as a specialist allied health practitioner in acute inpatients.
Managing or advising on the provision of Occupational Therapy services to complex cases
Demonstrating an advanced level of clinical reasoning, analytical skills and constructive self-questioning.
Managing the prioritisation and monitoring the efficiency of Occupational Therapy services to acute inpatients
Liaising and consulting with the Manager Occupational Therapy regarding unit based activities as the occupational therapy senior representative within the multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
About you:
Commitment to delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
Demonstrated ability to promote best practice and develop the role of Occupational Therapy in the acute setting.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate professional staff.
Extensive post-graduate clinical experience at a senior level in the acute health sector
Experience in the supervision of OT staff and students
Experience in the development of clinical guidelines, policies and procedures
