Total Indicative Remuneration Package: $296,708 - $383,234 (Subject to Private Practice Arrangements) MD02 (pro rata)
Multiple fractional ongoing appointments available for a total 0.81 FTE (30 Hours per week)
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Consultants to join our Urology Team!
About the role:
As the Urology Consultant you will provide a clinical service within the Urology Service in association with the other medical personnel. Responsibilities include the provision of specialised care in consulting and emergency clinics, operative surgery, and hospitalised patients.
Duties for the role will include:
Conducting inpatient, outpatient and/or procedural consultations of patients including assessing, analysing, diagnosing, managing, treating, educating and supporting patients presenting to them.
Ensure optimum outcomes by providing opinions in respect of diagnosis and assessment of incapacity and referrals as appropriate,
Assist in the development, administration and organisation of programs for teaching in these areas as directed,
Participate in basic science or clinical based research project(s),
Ensuring where additional medical problems are identified, referral is made to the appropriate specialist(s).
Participate in teaching at medical student, graduate and postgraduate levels.
Participate in conferences given annually by the department.
About you:
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration (Urology); or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership within a team,
Proven ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with a broad range of clients, including staff of the hospital and members of the public.
Substantial experience in hospital industry.
Conduct of clinical audits and practice improvement programs.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
