Role Description:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Delivery within the Program Management & Integration (PM&I) Integrated Project Team (IPT), this role provides an opportunity to contribute to and influence a range of program management activities.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, ASC and BAE Systems Marine (UK), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of outcomes in a complex, multi-organisational environment.
The Delivery Workstream is responsible for activities including:
- Government Furnished Material (GFM) management
- Business-to-Business (B2B) activities, including transfer of Business Management System (BMS) and other key documentation from the UK to Australia
- Development and maintenance of the Program Cost Estimate (PCE) and Program Staff Skills Profile (PSSP)
- Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Program Management Plan (PMP)
This role is ideal for a proactive and collaborative project management professional who enjoys building structure, reducing uncertainty and delivering outcomes through influence rather than direct authority.
Core Duties:
- Project manage the delivery of contract deliverables, management plans and program outcomes, ensuring scope, requirements, risks and stakeholder expectations are clearly defined and managed.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders, driving clear actions, decisions and outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality communications, engagement material and performance reporting, tailoring content to suit different audiences and objectives.
- Analyse cost, workforce and delivery data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide clear written and visual insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Develop business cases and contribute to the implementation of process, system and tool improvements to enhance program delivery and performance.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes in complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to build productive working relationships across organisational, geographic and corporate boundaries.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to anticipate risks and respond effectively to emerging challenges.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and insights.
- Sound judgement and an appreciation of the broader impacts of decisions, communications and deliverables.
- A commitment to continuous learning, professional development and continuous improvement.
- Qualifications in Project Management (desirable).
- Ability to hold and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
