Due to increasing demand for our services, we are currently seeking suitable Drill Fitter candidates for an immediate start. This is a full-time position.
This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable professional company that is looking to expand its operations. This position is a hybrid role where the successful candidate would be working in both Macquarie Geotechnical facilities as well as in the field.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Geotechnical Manager and Drilling Operations Manager however, the candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of the maintenance management system and lead continuous Improvement within the maintenance department.

Duties of the role include, but not limited to:
-
In alignment with MacGeo Fleet Maintenance Management Software, forecast upcoming services and communicate to PM’s at schedule meetings.

Via use of MacGeo Fleet Maintenance Management Software, manage the categorising of defects as they arise and provide direction to field crews for rectification as required.

Identify priority repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment, developing plans to rectify in consultation with PM’s and Drilling Ops Manager.

Via use of MacGeo Fleet Maintenance Management Software communicate to Operations Managers (Drill + PM) any daily non-compliance in relation to assets not having pre-starts inspections completed.

Organise parts and equipment for defect rectification and servicing.

Provide assistance and guidance to field crew in relation to breakdowns.

Conduct servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on assets (trucks, drill Rigs, LV’s small motors).

Complete associated documentation with respect to repairs, maintenance and services via MacGeo Fleet Maintenance Management Software, ensuring all maintenance history is current.

Support and train field personnel in correct preventative maintenance and servicing.

Ensure procurement of parts, materials and consumables are available for servicing & repairs and purchased in line with company Purchasing Procedure.

Review site compliance checklists as required.

Manage and assist external maintenance contractors, bookings or inspections.

Ensure all maintenance works are performed in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Assist in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business.

Manage maintenance consumables and stock levels.
Minimum requirements for the position are:
-
Heavy diesel fitter or equivalent trade certificates
-
Minimum HR Truck Licence (preferred but not essential)
-
NSW White Card (Construction Induction Card)
-
Currency of Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential)

Current and valid RISI (preferred but not essential)

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of D&A test
-
Ability to obtain a Police Clearance upon request
