We are excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learn to Play Basketball Instructor. As a Learn to Play Basketball Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible basketball sessions to participants who are new to the sport. You will play a key role in building confidence, developing foundational skills, and fostering a love of the game in a supportive and encouraging setting.

Plan and deliver fun, structured, and age-appropriate basketball sessions for beginners

Create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants regardless of skill level, background, or ability

Teach fundamental basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic game rules

Adapt coaching methods and activities to suit the diverse needs of participants

Provide positive, constructive, and encouraging feedback to help participants grow and build confidence

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants throughout every session

Communicate effectively with participants, parents, guardians, and other team members

Maintain accurate attendance records and session notes as required

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the program by sharing ideas and feedback

A genuine passion for basketball and sharing that passion with others

Experience in coaching, teaching, or instructing in a sporting or community setting (formal or informal)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds

A patient, encouraging, and positive approach to working with beginners

The ability to adapt your coaching style to meet the needs of diverse groups

A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one

First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain one
