Full Job Description

Description:
We're looking for a Land & Property Management Coordinator to join our Rural Water Efficiency Project (RWEP) team and play a critical role in securing the land, property and access arrangements that will enable the successful delivery of this landmark program.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex infrastructure project that will have a lasting impact on our customers, communities and the environment.

About the project

The Rural Water Efficiency Project is a landmark investment jointly funded by the Australian Government and Coliban Water. The program will modernise and optimise the Greater Bendigo rural water network, improving water efficiency and service delivery for more than 1,150 rural customers while strengthening long-term water security across the region.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Planning & Decommissioning, you will coordinate the delivery of the project's land access and property management program, ensuring land acquisition, easements, leases, licences and other property transactions are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Working closely with landowners, government agencies, consultants and internal project teams, you'll help remove barriers to project delivery while building strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Land & Property Management Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate land access activities to support project delivery.
Manage land acquisition, disposal, easement creation and property transactions.
Prepare and administer lease and licence agreements.
Undertake land inspections and prepare reports and recommendations.
Provide advice on land management, land law and property matters.
Liaise with landowners, government agencies, councils and internal stakeholders.
Prepare documentation including contracts, compensation agreements and statutory approvals.
Monitor project budgets, planning activities and reporting requirements.
Support consultants and contractors to ensure land-related activities are delivered on time and within budget.

About you:
You'll be an organised and collaborative professional who enjoys working with a diverse range of stakeholders and solving complex property and land management challenges.

You'll bring:
Experience in land and property management, land acquisition or property transactions.
Knowledge of land law, easements, licences and property legislation, ideally within the public sector or a water authority.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
The ability to interpret legislation, prepare reports and manage competing priorities.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 $93,548 - $112,895 plus superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
