Full Job Description

The role of Reconciliations Analyst is accountable for guaranteeing that the accounting and investment books of record are reconciled accurately, with complete data integrity and delivered within defined timelines. The tools and processes used for reconciliation require to be adhered to best‑practice standards.

Principal Role Accountabilities

This role requires to;

Take responsibility for all reconciliations for Fund Accounting and Middle‑Office to ensure delivery of a complete, accurate and timely reporting, in an outsourcing environment.

Review reconciliation tools and processes improvements to achieve best‑practice standards that maximize accuracy, efficiency and control by conducting, benchmarking against industry guidelines, and implementing the identified enhancements that reduce manual handling time and error rates.

Communicate reconciliation reporting, trends, processes and controls to provide business owners and clients with clear, actionable insight into performance and risk, presenting trend analyses. Work with offshore teams on ad‑hoc queries on process changes or control effectiveness.

Present the details of the breaks within the reconciliation reports to clients

Enable business change initiatives that affect reconciliations to ensure seamless integration of new processes and systems with zero disruption to the accounting book of records by collaborating with the offshore teams.

Drive offshore teams accountability to deliver reconciliation services that consistently meet all key deliverables by establishing oversight of KPI's and escalating any missed targets to senior management for corrective action.

Manage the incident resolution process to ensure incidents are handled efficiently and closed within agreed upon timeframes. work with offshore teams to ensure that incidents are logged into BIRDIE and closed.

This role will be required to support account management duties for the team.

Planning & execution - establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently. Effectively manages own time and resources to meet deadlines and quality standards

Technical skills required for this role are;

Excel - mandatory skills

Power BI - desired

Intellimatch - desired

Hiport - desired

Educational qualification at degree level is preferable within commerce and finance.

Relevant experience required for the job;

Proven experience working in reconciliations in the Investment or Middle Office services area with knowledge of fixed income, equities, FX, cash, derivatives products
