As our Lead Educator, you'll mentor and support your team, create engaging learning experiences, work alongside an experienced Centre Director and Educational Leader, and help shape a positive centre culture. You’ll lead our Nursery Room 0-2 years, and you will join a supportive, collaborative team in a well-resourced centre that values professional development, creativity, and exceptional outcomes for all children.

About the Role:

Lead, coach and mentor educators.
Deliver engaging educational programs aligned to the EYLF.
Build strong relationships with children and families.
Create safe, inclusive learning environments.
Support continuous improvement and quality outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

Qualifications

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent at Children’s Services Employee Level 4+)
OR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with the required long day care experience

Experience (within a long day care setting)

Diploma holders: minimum 2 years' Lead Educator experience.
Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching: 3–4 years' Educator experience or 2+ years' Lead Educator experience in Australian long day care.
Experience leading a room in a long day care setting
Confidence mentoring other educators
Strong understanding of the NQF and EYLF
Passion for creating engaging learning environments

Compliance Documentation

Working with Children Check, mandatory
National Child Safety Training (GECCKO)
RRHAN Fundamentals & Masterclass (SA where applicable)
ACT Child Abuse and Neglect Training (where applicable)
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates

Applicants must hold a completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent).
Applicants working towards a Diploma are not eligible.
Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching applicants must also meet the required early childhood experience criteria.
Availability to work opening and/or closing shifts is required.
