About the role
we are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team. This role combines indirect procurement responsibilities with exciting supply chain projects focused on cost optimisation, supplier consolidation, and continuous improvement across our operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, driving efficiencies, and contributing to business improvement initiatives.
What will you do
Manage indirect purchasing activities across multiple business functions.
Raise, process, and monitor purchase orders and requisitions.
Ensure purchase orders are maintained and closed within required timeframes.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and support supplier consolidation initiatives
Resolve supplier issues including invoice variances, returns, and quality concerns.
Analyse indirect spend and recommend procurement improvements.
Coordinate and support a variety of Supply Chain and operational projects.
Assist with sourcing products and services for operational and facility-related requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain function.
About you
Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related role.
Prior hands-on experience using SAP or similar large-scale ERP software is highly advantageous.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service approach to managing vendor queries.
Demonstrated team player with a collaborative style who is positive, resilient and wants to work in a team that likes to have some fun.
Excellent time management and coordination skills with a sense of urgency, results focussed, with high attention to detail and analytical mindset
You have a can-do attitude, are flexible, adaptable and always have the customer at the forefront of everything you do!
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
