The Opportunity
At Vocus, we're establishing a new process excellence capability to accelerate business transformation through data-driven process improvement. This is to drive data-led process improvement and operational excellence across Vocus. We’re starting with two Process Intelligence Leads to uncover value leakage, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities through process mining, followed by a Business Process Architect to establish the standards, governance and process foundations that enable scalable, enterprise-wide transformation. Together, these roles will help Vocus turn insight into measurable business value.
We're seeking a Process Intelligence Lead – Insight & Analysis based in Melbourne, to convert process data into actionable business outcomes. Leveraging process mining insights generated through Apromore, you'll identify where work gets stuck, where rework occurs, and where value is leaking across critical business processes.
As one of the first key hires into the Process Centre of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in helping Vocus move rapidly from insight to action. Working closely with the Process Intelligence Lead – Data & Platform, Finance, business leaders and process owners, you'll transform complex process intelligence into prioritised improvement opportunities that deliver measurable business value.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a capability from the ground up and influence enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across Vocus.
What You'll Be Responsible for
As the Process Intelligence Lead – Insight & Analysis, you will:
- Analyse process mining outputs to identify bottlenecks, rework, variation and value leakage across the Market & Sell value chain.
- Establish process performance baselines and measure key indicators including cycle time, throughput and process conformance.
- Quantify improvement opportunities and translate findings into value-based recommendations.
- Build and maintain a prioritised improvement backlog aligned to strategic and operational objectives.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to validate assumptions, benefits and opportunity sizing.
- Conduct root cause analysis to uncover drivers of process inefficiency and operational friction.
- Develop dashboards, reporting and monitoring approaches that provide ongoing process performance visibility.
- Create compelling executive-ready presentations and data-driven narratives that influence decision-making.
- Establish repeatable analysis methodologies, standards and playbooks that can be applied across additional value chains and business functions.
- Partner with the Data & Platform Lead to continuously enhance process intelligence capability and business outcomes.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll deliver:
- A clear Market & Sell process performance baseline across key customer and operational journeys.
- Insight-driven identification of process bottlenecks, rework loops, process variants and value leakage.
- A validated, prioritised improvement backlog linked to measurable business outcomes.
- Executive dashboards and performance monitoring capabilities that support continuous improvement.
- Repeatable analysis and opportunity-sizing frameworks that can scale across the organisation.
What You'll bring to the role:
You're naturally curious, highly analytical and passionate about uncovering insights that improve how organisations operate. You can take complex process and operational data and translate it into a compelling story that drives action
- 4+ years' experience in process analytics, process mining, business improvement, operational excellence or data-driven transformation.
